UTRILLO x KATCHINA ... what else ?!

His sire UTRILLO VD HEFINCK, is born from the amazing cross of CLINTON x HEARTBREAKER , and is the star revelation in France in 2016 with the great success of his young SF horses.(read Utrillo's page)

His dam KATCHINA MAIL, daughter of the champion CALVARO, was the double French Championne at 6yrs old (Championnat & Criterium for both males and females), going on to become a great international champion winning GP and Nations Cup in CSIO, 14th in the world 2008, Finalist and 11th in the World Cup Geneva 2010 and Silver team medal,vice champion at the WEG in Lexington 2010 (ISO 178). DELSTAR is her second male foal and second son to be licensed as a stallion after CATCHAR.

She has also produced SHEENA MAIL (Iowa) 3rd in the 6 yr old Championships, Finalist at the the 7yr old Wolrd Championships, CSI 2*, ISO 145. She is also the grand mother of TYGAR MAIL (Quidam de Revel) CSI.

His grand dam ELVIRA MAIL (Laudanum ps x Adoret x Almé) is also the dam of the star stallion JAGUAR MAIL (Sire of The World 2007, OG Beijing 2008, CSIO) 4th stallion in the world CCI 2016.

Some other stallions from this motherline are: FERGAR MAIL, HOGGAR MAIL, ULGAR MAIL, ULMAR MAIL, BALOUBAR MAIL, CHANKAR MAIL.

PERFORMANCES

DELSTAR, DOUBLE CHAMPION IN 2017 OF THE 4 YEAR OLDS IN NORMANDY AND IN FRENCH FINALS.

FINALIST IN FONTAINEBLEAU AT 5 & 6 YEARS OLD.

4 YEARS OLD CHAMPION IN 2017
DELSTAR MAIL was licensed at 3yrs old by the Stud-Book SF in 2016. He showed great promise during the testing period when jumping with his rider.
He was showing at 4yrs old with Gregoire Hercelin.

At 4, 9 clearounds on 10 courses, double clear at the Normandy half final and the same at the national Final. SF 4 year olds Champion.

At 5, 15 clear rounds on 17 courses, 5 year old Finalist.

At 6, 14 clear rounds on 19 courses, 6 years old Finalist.
In 2020 because of covid he stayed with his rider Gregoire Hercelin where he continued to breed and participated in 3 shows always jumping clear (1,30m).

In 2021 : he started the breeding season and competed GP 1,30m with G. Hercelin, then to start inbiggest events, his new rider is the talented women rider Faustine Laferrerie.

2022 : DELSTAR a fait une bonne saison de concours en GP 1m35-1m40 avec Faustine Laferrerie.

En 2023, DESLTAR va poursuivre sa carrière avec le triple vice Champion du Monde Patrice Delaveau.

ADVICE

DELSTAR THE STAR OF HIS GENERATION.

DELSTAR is the second son of the star KATCHINA to start breeding. The two brothers are so different and cannnot be compared as they have a very different look and size. However, they are both very talented. DELSTAR has an average height of 1m66, quite light in his over all look. Very chic,pretty, lots of influx,reactivity and strength. DELSTAR suits mares with a good size and shape to whom he will bring his sporty chic looks and genetic qualities.

A young talent to use with no limit. His first foals in 2018 are amazing and they won the foal shows all over France

His foals are all the time very handsome and his first 2 & 3 years old are very talented in free jumping. Many of them were selected for all the Elite auctions in France in 2021.

charme et de talent. Séduisant avec sa jolie tête expressive et son look de cheval de sport, harmonieux dans son modèle et très doué à l’obstacle. Il a un excellent équilibre, un sens de la barre inné, du respect, de l’élasticité et de la force. En fait, il a TOUT ce que recherchent les cavaliers chez un bon cheval !
De plus sa génétique est épatante : UTRILLO (un des meilleurs étalons issu du fabuleux croisement CLINTON-HEARTBREAKER) et la grande championne KATCHINA qui se révèle être aussi une reproductrice exceptionnelle. Dans son pedigree DESLTAR a un triple inbreeding remarquable sur Cor de la Bruyère (Rantzau ps), sur Furioso ps et Capitol I. Son gabarit intermédiaire (1m68) lui permet de correspondre à un large panel de juments SF, AA ou SE avec des courants de sang très divers. DELSTAR est donc très facile à croiser.
La première génération de foals de DELSTAR a été époustouflante de qualité. Des sosies de leur père dans le look et les allures (bais, très chic, sport, super look et locomotion de rêve). Sa production a été très remarquée avec 5 finalistes au Championnat de France dont 3 classés dans le Top 5. Izzastar de Moreton est vice Championne des femelles jeunes et Isystar du Mesnil monte sur la 3e marche du podium des mâles âgés. Beaucoup ont gagné les concours locaux et régionaux. Du jamais vu pour un jeune étalon en première année de production et qui n’avait pourtant que 45 naissances (comparé à d’autres qui en ont plusieurs centaines !).
DELSTAR est tellement cool et facile à vivre qu’il va faire à nouveau la monte en IAF-IAR (en plus de l’IAC) à 6 ans pour la dernière année. Quelle chance pour les éleveurs, notamment Normands et les autres. Cela vaut la peine de déplacer les juments qui ne remplissent pas bien en IAC !
