Judges Notes :
" Excellent Mastiff, strong like a tank, lots of masculine presence, magnificent shoulders and neck, excellent top line , strong skull, good stop, dark eyes, strong muzzle, excellent fur and colour, excellent movement (Ch. Habig Mai 2003), Big, strong and elegant, harmonious build, superb line along his back and stomach, strong bone structure, angulations exact, expressive head and very typical,, big and regular & healthy teeth,nice free moving  with strength and scope. SAGAMORE STABLEBOY BRULLEMAIL was born on the 21 March 2001 at the Haras de Brullemail (France) home of Bernard Pierre Le Courtois & Christopher King.
As he was the only male in the litter of 2001 his breeder found him a family close by so he could keep an eye on his future show career. SAGGY belongs to Isabelle & Stéphane Réaubourg (Calvados) who also breed horses.SAGGY lives amogst children, horses and dogs.

During his first year SAGGY was only shown now & then but never the less was Very Promising at the French National in the Minime class and won the WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS in Amsterdam 2002.He was also 2nd in the Junior Class at the National Specialty that same year.

          He started off  his international career at 21months at Caen 2002 where a new judge to the breed, who did not apreciate him enough refused him the Reserve CAC-CACIB with which he could have been second of the open class. To explain his decision he explained to Saggy's owner and handler, "That you can't always produce Champions !". Nice and  intelligent comments.
The poor man if only he could have imagined the results that followed and the highly rated comments bestowed upon SAGGY from some of the best judges of our breed, he would have swallowed his tongue!
His owner ,who already wasn't a big fan of dog shows, almost gave up letting him go to shows that day!
As agreed to when we sold him as a pup,BLC, recognising the qualities of the dog, took over the leads and started to show SAGGY.

                                 
                                                                  
Several months later he presented SAGGY at 6 international shows in Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germay & France. SAGGY won ,one after the other 4 CACIB & 2 Reserve IB. The first CACIB-BOB would be in Zuidlaren (NL), followed by Namur (B), he was the same weekend Reserve IB in Luxembourg & Leiden (NL) behind the World Champion 2002. SAGGY also won the CAC at Belgium Championships (judge Ch. Habig D.) & the CAC-BOB at the OEMCD and of the Molosser Club Germany (judge B. Toogood GB.) where he was also the Reserve Best In Show. He also took the CAC-CACIB & BOB à Lyon (R. Pras F.), the only show in France that qualifies for Crufts 2004.
But the most spectacular victory was the CAC-CACIB in Dortmund (juge T. Thorn GB) where SAGGY won the supreme title of WORLD CHAMPION 2003  ahead of some of the best Mastiffs in Europe coming from 13 different countries including the World and European Champions for 2000- 2002 and the Mastiff N°1 in Great Britain.
All that just after 2 years!
SAGGY went onto to win the Limit dog Class at Crufts 2004 ,a first for a foreign dog,  and the French Championships in 2005 along with over 13 BOB throughout Europe. He is still shown now and then and continues to win up against far younger dogs surely due to his wonderful character , all the qualities he inherited from his dad, (friendly personality, top line, movement , presance ...) and from his mum (colour, head, mask, depth, etc....appetite!)  He has excellent x rays of his hips and shoulders. His phénotype and his génotype are exceptionnel as you will read on to discover.

  Fathers Origins

        His sire INT-MULTI CH HUGEDOGGE BARBIROLLI SIR PURCEL, (1999, 78 cm, 85 kg, HD : A) is our PERCY. An exceptional dog thanks to his presence ,his beauty, his dynamic form and his great affection.This athletic Mastiff with his legendary movement (which often earns him many results in the Best in Group) comes from one of the most remarkable genotype. His father is the American INT-MULTI CH GROPPETTI MR,(SIR) son of the famous champion GARGOYLE, who is the best reproducing sire in the history of Mastiff breeding in the U.S.A.(more than 70 champions). "SIR" has won all of the major titles in Scandinavia and Northern Europe and is now the father of many champions himself.
INT-DK CH AUGUSTA, the mother of PERCY, is in her own right an amazing champion, often taking the Best of Breed infront of some pretty big boys. Of an average size, she is a great all round bitch, very typey and active.
Her outstanding movement, more than likely comes from her father, the stud dog LAZYBONES LINCOLN, famous for his gaits and also for the quality of his production, especially the females who are national, international and world champions !
The champions GROPPETTI MR & AUGUSTA have bred 3 litters together, giving us apart from PERCY, the remarkable INT-DK CH HUGEDOGGE ANNA BELLA,title holder of many B.O.B but also Best In Show !
Their sister DK-CH HUGEDOGGE ANNA FLEUR DE LIS has also won many B.O.B.
5 sisters to PERCY are already breeding and have had litters in 2001 or 2002 and some of their pups have already won the titles of Best Puppy or Best Junior. A truly remarkable family in the quality and regularity of their production.

Mothers Origins
PRIMROSE-BREDWARDINE'S BRULLEMAIL, the mother of Sagamore, is also born from an exceptonal family.The father of PRIMROSE, Eng Ch DARKLING FINN MC CUMAHL (Eng Ch Bredwardine Brongest) is an apricot dog, strong and powerful who won the BOB at Crufts (1999).
The mother of PRIMROSE, BREDWARDINE BWLCHCILIAU, comes from a very close family line breeding. For example, her mother BUDDUG of BREDWARDINE, was bred to her own father BRONGEST. BUDDUG already came from an inbreeding (her father was bred with his own mother who comes out of the same father, Am Ch Arciniegas Lion, the father of Brongest).The American dog LION, an apricot Mastiff, won the BOB at the U.S National Specialty, juged that year by the British breeder Richard Thomas; who later imported this male dog to Great Britain where he bred a lot. His name and names of his sons and daughters can be found in Mastiff pedigrees all over the world.
His most famous son is the brindle BRONGEST, who in his time won the BOB at Crufts. He is the most influential Mastiff in England today, but we can also find his imprint all over Europe and from Russia to Australia where many of his offspring were exported.
PRIMROSE is linebred very tightly by BRONGEST (2 x 2 x 3). So much so that she looks a lot like him,a successful result of this linebreeding. She posesses a genetique heritage that couldn't be more concentrated !
The mother line of Saggy has given some excellent and very influential Mastiffs and leading sires around the world such as :

SAGGY & VICTORIA are happy to present you their 12 mastiffons born on the 1st Novembre 2006.
7 males & 5 females : 7 brindles, 4 fawn & 1 apricot.
The mother, VICTORIA DE MOLOSSIE (Rubens de Molossie x Dandylion Darma of Molossie)
VICTORIA DE MOLOSSIE was classed 4th Excellent Sélectioned at the National and won the CACIB-BOB at Angers 2006. She has cotation 4.
This young female is a daughter of RUBENS DE MOLOSSIE (Cavel Hercule, imported from USA) Cotation 4, grand son of the famous Am Ch SEMPER FI GROPPETTI GARGOYLE, like the father of SAGGY. RUBENS has already produced several excellent subjects TATOO IN DE MOLOSSIE ( Eurpoean Champion 2004) or VIZIR DE MOLOSSIE (CAC NE 2006).
- DANDYLION DARMA OF MOLOSSIE (Am Ch Groppetti Down Under x Am Ch Dandylion Maggy Magee), the mum of VICTORIA, was imported from the USA. She comes from an excellent line.
Her dam MAGGY awon the Open class at the National US 1996 & the grand dam Ch LIONSIRE ELLIE OF DEER RUN was an exceptional  daughter of the stud dog Am Ch LIONSIRE GRIZZ.
ELLIE was the "TOP producing Mastiff bitch 1996 in USA" & Hall of Fame.
VICTORIA has 2 times ELLIE in her pedigree.

-The pups from this litter are very interesting and all 3 colours are represented.We can't wait to see them grow to see who they take after. We have already seen a big female that looks like her grand dam PRIMROSE !

MAI 2005: (US)
The litter of pups that has been highly awaited  of DRAGONHALL'S HOT DIAMONDS & World-Multi ch SAGAMORE STABLEBOY BRULLEMAIL was born on the 5th of May.
Two months before  we exported to Floride (USA) for Dragonhall kennel (Sherry Einsenhuth) refrigerated semen of SAGGY, with succès, thanks to the skill Dr Fontbonne (Ecole Vétérinaire de Maison-Alfort).
On both sides of the Atlantic, evryone involved was very excited by this exchange.
Now the little" fenchie-american puppies " are born . 9  strong and lovely pups.
