IMAGO
MAIL .........
Comes home.

The very beautiful dark bay Selle francais stallion
IMAGO MAIL comes back home to the cradle to find once
again the haras where he was born here at BRULLEMAIL.
Mrs Hartmann, the South-African born owner of
IMAGO
MAIL (Narcos II et Reine du Valois par Laudanum ps),
will be
now living with her husband in Germany, so they decided
to bring Imago back to France after an accident
which has temporally stopped his jumping career in Germany
where he has been taking part in the Grand Prix class
M & S (1m40-1m50).
The first foals of Imago are 5 years old this year and
show some very lovely gaits and models with an excellent
movement , strength and style when jumping, like their
father.
His production can be mixed in all the events CSO, Hunter,
CCE & Dressage.
IMAGO MAIL has been labelled with the award
"Labellisé + Dressage."
IMAGO come from an excellent linewhich has also given
us the stallions ADAM IV (exported to Ireland) and the
young star OTTO MAIL.
The dam of IMAGO comes form the breeding of the
two exceptionnel stallions LAUDANUM ps x
IBRAHIM x FURIOSO ps !
IMAGO is thus linebred lIBRAHIM & FURIOSO by his
dam & his sire.
IMAGO MAIL, will be based and you can come and see him
at the stud from the beginning of April and you
can use him in both IAF & IAC.
The price of the breeding fee is very interesting.
IAF : 0 + 480€ ht (506,40 € ttc) to pay
only I/10 if the mare is in foal with our usual
Garantie Poulain Vivant .
IAC : forfait technique 300€ ht (316,50€
ttc) + 480€ ht (506,40 € ttc)to
pay only I/10 if the mare is in foal with our
usual Garantie Poulain Vivant .

THE FAMOUS STALLION QUITE
EASY ARRIVES IN FRANCE
HARAS
DE BRULLEMAIL and Bernard Le Courtois are happy and proud
of this news : The famous Holsteiner stallion QUITE EASY (Quidam
de Revel x Landgraf I) will arrive at Brullemail in February
2007.
The french breeders used QUITE EASY with the frozen semen
until 2005, but next year he will be available in fresh, cooled
and frozen semen.
This handsome stallion, approved in the SF stud-book, has
a fantastic pedigree : his sire , the SF N°1, is QUIDAM
DE REVEL the World Top show Jumper stallion , his dam is a
daughter of the foundation stallion LANDGRAF I (sire of many
excetionnal stallions as LIBERO H or LANDADEL) and his grand-dam
is a CAPITOL I 's sister . CAPITOL I was the World N°1
stallion for several years and sire of many top stallions
as CARTHAGO, CENTO, CAROLUS, CASSINI, CARDENTO, CELANO etc
.
QUITE
EASY, winner in CSO and CSI in Sweeden, with the olympic rider
Peter Erikson, was 7 year old CHAMPION in 2001 and Vice NATIONAL
CHAMPION in 2003.
QUITE EASY, now is 12 years old, has his first offspring winner
in internationnal competitions.
QUITE EASY produces very nice horses, with excellent gaits
and talented jumpers.
He produced yet some young stallions approved in Germany,
Belgium, Denmark, Nederland, Sweeden.
QUITE EASY is the sire of QUASIMODO 4 year old Champion in
Sweeden, QUITE L 8th in the 4 year old Jumping Championship,
QL 3rd of the 5 year old World Championship in Lanaken, CSI
in 2006 etc ...
The first QUITE EASY SF foals in 2005 are magnificent.
Many stud-books and stud farms would like to import QUITE
EASY. We are very proud of Flyinge 's choice.
We make an exchange between QUITE EASY and our Champion de
France ALLIGATOR FONTAINE, very successful this year with
his first international winners.
ALLIGATOR will go to Sweeden next February ... |

JAGUAR AND HIS SON
VICTORY FOR JAGUAR
MAIL IN THE
GRAND PRIX AT AUVERS
GREAT weekend for our young 9 yr old
stallion JAGUAR MAIL (Hand In Glove
ps x Elvira Mail x Laudanum ps) & Patrice
Delaveau at the Pro.1 in Auvers.
Saturday he jumped an event to get himself ready for
sunday with a nice double clear round and taking the
5th place.
Sunday, JAGUAR won the Grand Prix with a superb double
clear round.
The norman breeders present were very impressed by the
ease in which he jumped. They were happy to see him in
top form especially as most of his wins this year have
been abroad.
1st Jaguar Mail (0+0).2nd Jumpy de Kresker (0+0)
3rd First de Launay (0+4)
The first foals of Jaguar are 3 yrs old and all of the
professionals are unanamous when talking about their
models , gaits and jumping skills. As he is breeding
with mares of an even better quality every year, things
can only improve!
,JAGUAR once again bred more than 100 mares in 2006
(with an excellent fertility with IAC : 75,8 %).
THE
NATIONAL STALLION SHOW FOR
SELLE FRANCAIS 2006 IN ST.LÔ:
A SON OF JAGUAR MAIL FROM HIS FIRST
GENERATION OF FOALS IS AMAZING!
The Vice Champion at the National 3 year old Stallion
Show 2006 is PLAY AGAIN D'ORCHIVAL
( Jaguar Mail x Gazelle du Perron x Tu Viens d'Orval)
with points of 7,51/10 points.
He won the main section for stallions (1m68-1m70) where
there are the most competitors, this beautiful burnt
chestnut (like his fathers mother ELVIRA MAIL) became
quite obviously the first of Jaguars sons to be approved
as a Stallion for breeding.
PLAY AGAIN D'ORCHIVAL was also the brilliant winner
of the 2 tests of free jumping (8,70/10 points) and
2nd in the gaits ( 7,80/10). He showed off his wonderful
balance and suppleness when ridden.
For a long time we have not seen such a demonstration
since the debut of the stallion DOLLAR DU MURIER back
in June 1994 ... 12 years ago! It was validated by jumping
points of (8,70) even if some of the judges who
gave him 9 later admitted that they were tempted to
give him 10. It was at least nice to have thought about
!
He showed balance, respect, techinique, strength, ease
and all with a letting go of his back which was so spectacular.
A magical
moment!
It was a great
pleasure to be his spiritual grand father and what a
shame that his breeder wasn't there to see such a performance.
Sebastien Fonk de Macon (71) .
This fantastic horse was already sold at FENCES in September
and on the first day at St. Lô was immediately
snatched up by the stables of Jan Tops
If all goes well and he is bought by the right person
we should be hearing more from him in the future. |

OTTO
MAIL ...
BRED 146 MARES FOR HIS FIRST SEASON !
146 mares bred by our young 4 years old
SF stallion OTTO MAIL (Weltmeyer
Hann x Hand In Glove ps).
That's a great success in France especially for a young
Dressage stallion !
OTTO MAIL was the the first Dressage
winner at the 3 year old stallion show last year.
His pedigree, his abilities for Dressage but also for
Jumping or Eventing justify the interest of so many
breeders.
OTTO bred very different type of mares
from many different stud-books as SF, CS, Lusithanian,
Lippizan, Kwpn, German, AA, TF, ponies and thoroughbred
to produce Dressage horses, show Jumpers, Eventers and
Hunters.
More than 100 mares came to the Brullemail stud-farm
to be inseminated in fresh semen and another 46 in frozen
semen.

OTTO MAIL had so many mares to breed,
it was impossible for him to compete at the same time.
He competed only once in May in a 4 yr old Dressage
class and with 2 first "premiums", he was
immediately qualified for the final.
In September, the famous Olympic Champion Mrs Christine
Stuckelberger saw OTTO MAIL
at Saumur and she was extravagant with her comments
:
"Magnificent
young stallion with fantastic gaits, extraodinary canter,
he will be a great stallion and a champion ..."
As OTTO MAIL is very fertile in fresh
and frozen semen, he will have a lot of foals in 2007.
We hope to see many of them at the foals championship
shows in Saumur, Le Pin and Saint-Lô.

VOYAGE
TO THE OTHER SIDE
OF THE WORLD
Alligator Fontaine & Hoggar Mail
Breeding in Argentina.
I
have been invited for over 5 years to regularly judge
the young horse Championships in Argentina and have
since then built up many links and friendships in this
fabulous young country.
This
is why I decided to send them for the winter season
of 2006-2007 my two champion stallions in CSI, ALLIGATOR
FONTAINE & HOGGAR MAIL.
The breeding seasons are reversed so it is was at the
beginning of their springtime in early September, that
the two stallions arrived at Buenos Aires airport after
20 hours flying including 2 stopovers in Guyanne and
Brasil accompanied by my Stud manager Marc Vanier
They
will be the guests of the Maggia Stud Farm about 1H
30mins outside of the capital and where they will breed
in the heartland of the studfarms.
.
The Maggia Stud Farm
They
have already been met by the Argentinian breeders with
a lot of interest and some foals out of these 2 stallions
have already been born in Argentina with frozen semen.
2 of the best young horses 4-5 yr 2006 are Alligator
offspring.
Some
Argentine breeders were at the Normandy Horse Show in
August to see HOGGAR win with his rider Peneloppe Leprevost.
This is a first, concerning sport horses, where
some SF Stallions leave during the off season here to
breed in South America, as is already the case for their
Thoroughbred brothers.
Other horses have been exported of course
but stay for several years.
In the case of ALLIGATOR & HOGGAR their return
is planned for the end of January 2007 to take up again
their work with a little deserved rest before.
A picture of the container in which
they travelled by cargo with Marc!

Auvers with Patrice Delaveau to stretch his legs after
a winter back home for the freezing of his semen .

3rd in the big event on friday.
Also ridden by Patrice Delaveau, the 6 yr old MATAHARI

4th noting in particularly the 6 yr old
Grand Prix CSI d'Hardelot.
She won the event for six yr olds at Canteleu as well
as in the CSI Deauville and was placed 2nd in Cabourg.
Our
grey stallion HOGGAR MAIL ridden by Pénélope
Leprevost was placed in the CSI in Deauville and took
the 8th place in the Grand Prix at Cabourg.
Our young horses are ridden by the riders Ronan Lerat,
Nicolas Benoit, David Mommolin et Guillaume Blin-Lebreton
.
The 4 year old ORNELLA MAIL (Lando x Jenna Mail x Alligator
Fontaine) is sensational at each one of her outings.
OPALE MAIL (Narcos x Reine du Valois x Laudanum ps)
& ODISSEY MAIL (Robin IZ x Fantaisie Mail
x Hand In Glove ps), NOVELLA MAIL (Adelfos x Galanterie
Mail x Hand In Glove ps), NORMA MAIL (Narcos x Elvira

ps) & LOREN MAIL (Alligator Fontaine x Elvira
Mail x Laudanum ps) are placed regularly in Grand Prix

OTTO
MAIL
3 year old Dressage Champion
Will
be breeding free of charge
for the 2006 season at the
Haras de
Brullemail .
Otto Mail
(Weltmeyer x Hand in Glove) the fabulous winner at the
stallion show last year with the highest scores all
round, including jumping stallions, with an average
score of 8,46 with 2x8, 2 x9 and 2x 10 will be breeding
this year finally at the haras in IAF & IAC.
After some very complicated transactions
demanded by France Dressage , ANSF, ENE & the National
Stud the stallion was sent to the Haras of St Lo for
sperm testing before finally coming to a decision as
is the usual practice of the NatioanlStud. He had already
passed xrays and visits with Dr Batail and certified
by CIRE. But the Haras do there own testing. After six
weeks and no news, Otto was sent to Saumur for the ENE
where he was destined to have a career as a Dressage
stallion.
They did more
tests and xrays ,completely ridiculous when you consider
that the horse had just been jumping onto a phantom
for sperm testing and was quite tired as most young
stallions are after these first sperm collects.
Of course
they found a problem on his shoulder , due to mounting
the phantom at St Lo and so refused the visit
So nearly
after 2 months . The breeding season already started
the National Stud sent us back our injured Stallion.
DISTGUSTING attitude showing no respect for breeders
by the French National Stud who only keep on getting
worse!
After check
ups with our own vets and a few weeks convalesence Otto
is now fine and will start to breed next month FREE
for the 2006 season ,( except for charges.) We are happy
to have him back at home where he will be treated correctly
and with the respect and care he deserves.
Experts
from France Dressage saw him in movement and said that
the slight injury has not damaged his excellent movement..
We
decided to offer Otto free to breeders so as to use
him as much as possible in his first year which is not
often the case for Dressage stallions in France. He
is also very interesting for breeders who wish to produce
foals for all 4sports. Hunter, eventing dressage and
jumping. This way we can test him quickly. The stock
will be limited as we hope to compete OTTO in dressage
, hunter and jumping this season to try and qualify
him for all 3 finals at 4 year old and then only in
dressage next year.

HARAS
DE BRULLEMAIL AUCTION
AT MARCHE FENCES. A SUCCESS
With
nearly 240,000€ made , selling 24 horses we can
proudly say that the reduction sale of the Brulleamil
Stud was a success for all concerned.
Out
of the 32 horses presented only 8 were bought back .
The average price was around 9500€ with of course
some foals and broodmares going for well under their
estimated price(between 3000-8000€) but nevertheless
making happy new owners of these bargain horses.
Those horses that did make some good prices
were the record sales for this November Sale of the
Fences Auction called the "Market Fences".
The
top price went to a broodmare , LIBERTY MAIL out of
our famous dam Adoret x Almé,in foal by Calvaro
and sold fro 42000€. She is the direct sister
to Chergar Mail, Fergar Mail, Hoggar Mail and Elvira
Mail(dam of Jaguar & Katchina Mail).
A sister of Alligator & Frascator ,
the black Midnight Mail(Fergar Mailx Digne Espoir) in
foal by Quite Easy went to Italy for 21500€.And
a beautiful filly foal , Quelinda Mail by Dollar du
Murier & Galoubet A, went to Saudi Arabia for 30000€.
All
the team back home at Brullemail can be proud of the
hard work getting all of our horses into beautiful condition
showing of the fine specimens that BLC has bred . A
lot of dark bays , all with a good size , expressive
heads and good movement.A lot of people remarked upon
this during the sale and congratulated the owner/breeder
on the quality and turn out of his horses.
We
were quite happy to buy back the horse we did , including
Brullemail and fine champion broodmare and Republica
Mail a gorgeous filly foal by Papillon Rouge & Liberty
Mail , who went up to 18000€, but not enough for
her owner, who felt comfortable at these sales having
the satisfaction , due to a good breeding season ,to
not have the pressure of selling some of his best products.
The last reduction sale at Brullemail was 10 years ago
when we sold 10 mares to Zangersheide. Maybe the next
one will be in another 10 years ? The retirement sale! |
