THE HISTORY OF BRULLEMAIL
Bernard Le Courtois started the Brullemail Studfarm in 1986 around an early 18th century manorhouse (1722). The stud is built on the soil of the famous Le Merlerault country, reknowned for the quality of its rich pasturelands favourable in the breeding of solid and energetic horses. (The first royal stud was built in Le Merlerault in the beginning of the 17th century). Brullemail is a small rural community, halfway between Le Merlerault and Courtomer, bordering on the counties of the Perche and Pays d'Auge,in the heart of the county of L'Orne, in the lower Normandy region,2 hours from Paris.
In surondings full of charm and tradition, Brullemail has become in a matter of years a mecca for the French Sport Horse, with the aim to breed and sell quality horses according to its motto "THE SUCCESS BREEDS SUCCESS".
